In times when there were no friends you were mine
When I was alone you were there
Watching me do things
Hearing me say things
Seeing me lonely and sad
You were with me at all time
Seeing me cry brought you pain
But still I felt lonely
If only I knew you
If only I knew how much you love me
If only I knew you were with me at all time
Wishing to be my friend
Wishing to make me smile
Wishing to see me happy
Wishing to see joy in my eyes
But we never met
The distance between time and space separated us
The friendship that can only be made if there were no time and space
